JewishByte Baltimore - On a recent Motzei Shabbat more than 600 people gathered to hear Rabbi Dovid Katz, Rabbi of Congregation Beth Abraham or more commonly known as “Hertzberg’s” after the founding Rabbi of the Shul. Rabbi Katz is also a noted Jewish historian and lecturer, currently in middle of a 12 week lecture series. An idea that was conceived to bring different segments of the community together, the lecture titled “American Jewry to the Rescue”, part one of a two-part mini-series discussing the early formative years of American Jewish History. After the very informative lecture, there was a beautiful dessert reception sponsored by Hoffman & Co.
