Local Shul honors Chaverim of Baltimore with award

JewishByte Baltimore - The Tiferes Yisroel Bais Dovid Annual Banquet at the Liberty Jewish Center on Sunday evening March 14th, was a wonderful event. This year the honorees were Hillel & Karen Zeitlin and Chaverim with the Jewish Leadership Award. The Chaverim award was presented to Tiferes Yisroel members Binny Margolese and David Bagan on behalf of Chaverim of Baltimore. The event was very warm, lively and joyously celebrated.

Some of the highlights were a stirring guest performance by world-renowned violinist Zvi Zeitlin. Mr. Zvi Zeitlin flew in especially for this occasion and spoke beautifully about his experiences and musical career. At the conclusion of his solo performance, Zvi Zeitlin was treated to resounding applause and a standing ovation from all in attendance. May he have many more years and continue to play such beautiful music.

The Chaverim award was followed by an original and humorous take on the “mission” of Chaverim of Baltimore. There was general dancing following the banquet.
