Koidenover Rebbe visits Baltimore
JewishByte Baltimore – Braving the blizzard of the century, the Koidenover Rebbe just recently visited Baltimore. The Koidenover Rebbe was in Baltimore for nearly two weeks and made a considerable effort to grace many of our local shuls with his presence.
A Kumzitz with Rabbi Goldberger was first on Thursday night at Rabbi Goldberger’s Shul. Throughout Shabbos the Koidenover Rebbe visited- Agudath Israel of Greenspring, Machazikei Torah, Shomrei Emunah, Rabbi Taub’s Shul and Ohr Hachaim. The Koidenover Rebbe stayed at the home of the Jacobovits family who graciously offered to host the Rebbe.
Rabbi Shlomo Slatkin who helped bring the Koidenover Rebbe to Baltimore has a really inspiring story on his deep rooted connection to Koidenov and Koidenover Chassidus. After finding Yiddishkeit in college, wanting to find out his grandfathers’ minhag for putting on Tefillin sparked a whirlwind revelation that his grandfathers’ family were very prominent Koidenover Chasssidim. For the entire story please read it HERE.
Pictures from the various places the Koidenover Rebbe visited and conducted a Tisch were sent in to JewishByte and can be found below. The pictures include a melava malka at the Sniders’ home, Mincha at Snider & Associates, as well as one with Rabbi Goldberger, and one with Rabbi Taub.
The Koidenover Rebbe was also here to raise funds for his Mosdos in Eretz Yisroel, including his yeshiva and his kiruv center on Dizengoff in Tel Aviv.
